Mission Statement

The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul (acronym SSVP) is a lay catholic organization whose mission is: To live the Gospel message by serving Christ in the poor with love, respect, justice and joy.

Values

The Mission of the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul implies that as Vincentians, we:

• see Christ in anyone who suffers;
• come together as a family;
• have personal contact with the poor;
• help in all possible ways.

St. Vincent de Paul at Most Blessed Sacrament Parish

There is an envelope each month in the parishioners’ box of contribution envelopes. Many contribute generously each month. Therefore, we have the financial resources to give a “hand up” to anyone locally who needs a little support for groceries, furniture or emergency issues. We have a great team of volunteers who normally will visit the person requesting some help. We believe in making personal contact, because each person is “the face of Christ.”
