Liturgical Ministries
ALTAR SOCIETY
Parishioners who care for the purificators, altar cloths, hand towels and Father’s albs on a rotating basis.
ALTAR SERVERS
The main role of the altar server is to assist the Priest in the celebration of the liturgy during Mass. Any young person, girl or boy, in Grade 4 or higher, may be trained as a server. For more information, contact Rachel McNamara.
CHILDREN’S LITURGY
The Children’s Liturgy is worship suitably adapted for young children. Each Sunday during the school year, at the 11:00 a.m. Mass, children may join their peers to learn about God and themselves in a way they understand.
Fr. Charlie will call children at the beginning of Mass and send them out with a blessing into the hall. A few minutes are spent explaining and talking about the Gospel: the older children are encouraged to take part in the discussion by answering simple questions. They pray together. Then they return to be with their parents for the Eucharistic part of the Mass.
